Participatory monitoring allows generating confidence in the population by carrying out joint measurements of air and water quality through objective and auditable technical instruments.
Sierra Antapite and the surrounding communities have resumed Participatory Environmental Monitoring after two years following the sanitary limitations determined by the COVID 19 pandemic, through which joint measurements of water and air are carried out to determine that they comply with the Standards. of Environmental Quality (ECA) established by the Ministry of the Environment and the regulatory entities of the State. The monitoring was carried out in the Communities of Ocobamba - December 16 -, Ayamarca - December 15 - and Ocoyo - December 18 - , in their respective localities and accompanied by their local authorities, the results being delivered jointly to the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) and the National Water Authority (ANA).
Participatory Environmental Monitoring are mechanisms that seek to strengthen the relationship between the community, state agencies and the company, allowing them to participate and be vigilant in caring for the environment, through transparent measurements based on objective technical instruments, can be resolve doubts and concerns that may arise over time, being able to resolve them in a participatory and positive manner. Finally, after obtaining the results of the samples, they will be delivered and explained to the communities in a transparent and participatory manner.
