As part of the actions of the Framework Agreement signed between the Regional Agrarian Directorate of Huancavelica and Sierra Antapite, with the participation of the Huaytará Agrarian Agency and the Integral Development Collective – CID, The Animal Health Campaign was successfully executed in Córdova, Huambo and Arenales, which was implemented with the objective of preventing the mortality and morbidity of cattle, sheep, affected due to adverse climatological factors such as frost, through technical animal health assistance in the Córdova district of the Huaytará province.
The actions included the dosage of external and internal antiparasitic medicine and antibiotics for cattle. Local producers from Córdova, Huambo and Arenales participated in the activity, who valued the activity. It should be noted that the work included coordination actions with the beneficiaries to determine the health activities to be carried out.
As is known, this agreement will strengthen the livestock project that Sierra Antapite has been carrying out in the area, as well as related activities, in the same way that it seeks to finance productive and agricultural development initiatives in the communities of the Huaytará province. The main objective of the agreement is to achieve genetic improvement in cattle from local producers, through artificial insemination, as well as the construction and equipment of a dairy processing plant that will benefit the communities of Ocobamba and Ayamarca.
